These Cloud Covered Days
These cloud covered days
Shadow the light I crave
Staring blankly into the sky,
No sun blinks through the mass.
No glorious sun brings my love,
Yet, it is only the gray that blankets my dreams.
Nobody here, only me alone
Still hopeful to see that great star.
I reach my hand toward the heavens
And beg for the light to dry these tears of blood.
The chilled wind slowly stirs the sky above.
I must be patient, I must be strong.
It will only be a matter of time
Before the spectacular ray shines down.
I know it, although it seems so far away,
In the end, I'll smile once again.
